Sponsored by Southeastern Regional Medical Center, the 3rd Annual Charity Classic Golf Tournament will be a fabulous event with all proceeds to benefit the Army's Fisher House of Fort Bragg.
Tee-Off times will begin at noon and continue until everyone is on the course. The event will run until the final contestants are in and the awards are handed out. And here is some more information about the charitable organization who will benefit from YOUR generosity.

The 2012 U.S. Army Soldier Show is a high-energy 90-minute live musical production that showcases the talents of active-duty Soldiers who were selected by audition from throughout the Army. They are amateur artists who have a passion for music, dance and performing. They come from information technology, human resources, food services, signal systems support, petroleum supply, combat medicine, aircraft structural repair, and other tactical units. The show is assembled in five weeks, and then tours for six months.
Admission is FREE.

May is Military Appreciation Month, so what better time of year to host an event that benefits our military heroes!
Registration begins at 8:30am. Kickstands up at 10:30am. Ride stops at Freedom Memorial Park, Airborne Special Ops Museum (wreath laying). Lunch immediately following at HotRodz.
Door Prizes ~ 50/50 ~ Raffle Items ~ Entertainment
Registration Fee(s): $15 Single Rider; $20 With Passenger (non-refundable). Proceeds benefit Operation HHH Helping Hands for Heroes.

Saturday's event will begin with a 5k run/walk for education hosted by Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. All proceeds for the event will go to the Spring Lake schools.
Pre-registration for the run will be Friday, May 11 from 4:00 to 8:00pm at the Hampton Inn in Spring Lake. Same day registration will begin at 6:30am the day of the race at Mendoza Park and end at 7:15am. The race starts at 9:00am. Advance registration is $20 for runners and $10 for walkers. Opening ceremonies will be at 10:00 am in Mendoza Park. The day's events include free carnival rides for children, live stage entertainment, food, vendors of all types, stagnant displays from Fort Bragg, Art Council's Neighborhood Art Attack! and more.
Bus service will be available to transport people from Southwinds Plaza to Mendoza Park.

WHY: To support The Army’s Army, the world’s only volunteer organization of citizens and businesses who’ve pledged their support to those in the military.
WHAT: 34 & 61 mile bicycle ride(s) starting in Spring Lake, NC - “Freedom’s Base Camp.” Plus a cool t-shirt, rest stops, SAG vehicles, post-ride food and activities.
WHEN: Saturday, May 19, 2012. Opening ceremony begins at 8:30AM. Ride begins at 9:00AM. Join us after the ride for lunch, provided by Sonic.
WHERE: Mendoza Park, Spring Lake, NC - “Freedom’s Base Camp.”(Hwy 87 North in Spring Lake)
FEE: $35 ($33.50 goes to charity and $1.50 goes to USA Cycling for event insurance). Wounded Warriors & riders under 13 ride free!
REGISTER: Register online at www.active.com by April 30th to guarantee your t-shirt before the ride. Onsite registration will be available the day of the ride.

"The Swamp" welcomes fans for the first edition of the 2012 summer of fun as they host the Wilmington Sharks.
Come out to "The Swamp" and join the fun! The Swamp Dogs are Fayetteville's own Collegiate Summer Baseball league. All games begin at 7:05 PM and are played at J.P. Riddle Stadium. Fun for the entire family!
